Do you have wireless, want wireless, or feel like you could better explain the ins and outs of wireless usage to your patrons?

If you answered yes, maybe, or sorta to any of these questions, MaintainIT has a 30-minute solution for you. TODAY.

The MaintainIT Project is producing a series of free monthly 30-minute webinars focused on topics from the Cookbooks and designed to get you started on a project today. Here are the details:

WHEN: Today (5-21) 11-11:30 am PST
WHERE: WebJunction
WHAT: FREE WEBINAR: "Notes on Wireless and Acceptable Use Policies"
Louise Alcorn from the West Des Moines Public Library (IA) will share her experiences with wireless policies and how you can start crafting one today that will both protect and extend the services at your library. Join in the fun!

Louise Alcorn is the Reference Technology Librarian at West Des Moines Public Library (IA), a contributor to Recipes for a 5-Star Library Cookbook (http://www.maintainitproject.org/cookbooks), a presenter, a trainer, and the co-author of Wireless Networking: A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians. She's a marvel, and we're excited to share her expertise with you.

So here's my invitation: take 30 minutes out of your day to join this quick and dirty session on wireless policies. You just might learn something new! If you can't make it to this, or any of our other 30-minute webinars, don't despair: you can listen to the archives on WebJunction.

AND… If you haven’t yet talked to us about your library, please get in touch. We’d love to share your experiences with other libraries!
